Rank up when the next purchase does not break your loop

Use Rank Up as a recurring account upgrade, not as a reason to empty your Energy the instant the button lights up. Reach the current requirement, check what the confirmation panel says will change, buy the rank, then rebuild through enemies, Cards, upgrades, and permanent rewards. If Auto Rank Up is available, turn it on only after you understand what the live client spends.

Ranking and Auto Rank Up are both present, but the current menus do not give players one permanent cost table, multiplier curve, or reset rule. The confirmation screen matters more than an old list of numbers.

Version check: this page reflects the release build reviewed on September 14, 2026. Read the current Rank Up panel before confirming a purchase.

Where ranking fits in progression

Ranking is one layer in a larger growth stack. It works alongside Energy generation, companion multipliers, Avatar leveling, weapons, world upgrades, Guild perks, Global Quests, and Index bonuses. A new rank does not replace those systems.

A clean rank cycle looks like this:

  1. Keep enough damage to defeat your chosen farming group comfortably.
  2. Equip your best current companion and Avatar setup.
  3. Claim permanent quest, Index, achievement, and Guild progress.
  4. Meet the visible Rank Up requirement.
  5. Confirm the current cost and stated effect.
  6. Rank up, then return to the same efficient farming loop.

Current footage describes rank gains as useful but less dramatic than a simple doubling. Treat the live stat panel as the answer for the exact improvement.

Manual versus Auto Rank Up

MethodBest forMain risk
Manual Rank UpLearning costs and effectsForgetting to buy an available rank
Auto Rank UpLong farming sessionsSpending Energy at an inconvenient moment
Manual before a new zoneSaving for a visible barrier or systemSlower rank frequency
Auto after setupStable AFK farmingAssuming every automation option is free or unlocked

Start manually. Watch one complete purchase and note whether Energy, other stats, or access conditions change. Once the result matches your goal, enable Auto Rank Up for a long session. Recheck it after an update, entering a new world, or changing your farming target.

The current settings interface includes automation, but unlock conditions and game-pass gates are not fully documented. If the toggle is missing or disabled, inspect its tooltip rather than assuming your account is bugged.

Protect your next progression purchase

Ranking a little late rarely ruins a run. An automatic purchase at the wrong time can. Before turning on Auto Rank Up, decide what you are saving for:

  • If the next world barrier is the goal, test whether ranking helps you clear it faster.
  • If a Card station or upgrade panel needs Gold, ranking should not disrupt that separate budget.
  • If a Raid or Trial needs a ticket, keep the ticket; ranks do not replace mode entry items.
  • If you are leveling an Avatar, stay on its matching NPC after the rank instead of moving to an inefficient enemy.

Energy and Gold serve different roles, but the wider progression loop can still be disrupted when automation changes your timing. Review every enabled auto option together before leaving the game to farm.

How to test a rank safely

Take ten seconds to note your Energy and damage before the purchase. Read the confirmation text, buy the rank, then check both numbers again. That tells you what the current rank did without sending you hunting for a community spreadsheet.

If the panel warns of a reset, finish short-term tasks first. If no reset is stated, do not invent one. The public release material did not clearly verify whether ranks reset any stat, so the confirmation screen is the only reliable current check.

Run the same comparison after a patch. Rank costs shown on third-party pages can age quickly, and an early list is not a permanent progression table.

Rank Up mistakes to avoid

  • Turning on Auto Rank Up before watching one manual purchase.
  • Treating a rank as the only multiplier that matters.
  • Copying old costs instead of reading the current panel.
  • Moving to a stronger enemy when your kill speed collapses after ranking.
  • Leaving reward claims, Cards, Index bonuses, and Guild perks untouched.
  • Assuming a missing auto toggle must be free on every account.

Does Rank Up reset Energy or other progress?

No universal reset rule is displayed outside the live purchase flow. Read the current confirmation panel before buying each rank.
